I don't know what exactly is "too late". If you are breathing it is surely not too late.
I don't believe in annihilationism. I can't think of any respected person that does.
I do find it odd that you, as a non believer, spend so much time pondering things that you do not think exist. I mean, I don't spend any time pondering righteous communists.
"I don't know what exactly is "too late". If you are breathing it is surely not too late." - the "soon enough you'll know" you referred to?..
"I don't believe in annihilationism. I can't think of any respected person that does." - uhm... John Stott?
(What do you personally think of the Jesus's reference to "worm that never dies and fire that's never quenched"? Isn't that a reference to a passage in Isaiah - which uses the exact same words - which in turn explicitly talks about eternal death rather than eternal torture in fire?)
"I do find it odd that you, as a non believer, spend so much time pondering things that you do not think exist." - well what if I'm actually wrong? (how am i supposed to be certain?..)
"I mean, I don't spend any time pondering righteous communists." - didn't catch your analogy? what do commies have to do with threats of eternal torture?
Well if your sensibilities can't handle religion, then it must not be true. You'll know for sure soon enough.
"But it will be too late", is that what you're saying?
I'm talking about this specific doctrine. What do you think of annihilationist interpretation?
