I just uninstalled Adobe's Flash Player, as Adobe is recommending.
Over on Gab, people post links to obscure websites which quite often take you to a site to download Adobe Flash. Because I never download anything from 3rd parties, I close out the tab ASAP. I think we all know those types of sites are full of malware.
My question is how long is this going to continue? It feels like 50% of the articles over there are trying to infect my Mac.
I apologize that this is off topic, but I know there's some pretty sharp computer geeks here and I'd like to solve this annoyance.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Well acording to Apple support Macs can't get viruses (I've been hung up on when I used a mac in college 2010). I would suggest using Linux unless it is needed for work or school. Also, flash player is just not getting further support if I read correctly, I may be wrong, but it should still work just fine.
I read the Adobe Q&A and they were recommending uninstalling.
Wish I could move to Linux, but I don't think my Bloomberg remote terminal will function on that. Bloomberg is amazing software, but it's really picky. That's the whole reason I'm running a Windows virtual machine.
