Hey Fren, you say you work for a federal contractor. Have you looked into OSHA requirements and also respirator requirements for your job? A respirator would probably be more breathable technically safer from the virus and probably the only thing that would really be compliant.
I presume you are not an office job or deal with others face to face a lot because you didn't mention that you can wear no mask at your workstation? That's why I figured I would mention the respirator. You could lookup requirements on OSHA website. If you can get a copy of your company's contract it most certainly requires compliance with all federal regulations. You could probably make an anonymous complaint that you think you need respirators since they feel it is unsafe with just one mask, probably unsafe without them.

I have a office job so im not down in the trenchs like a lot of people are doing... im not sure what the requirements are for the operators.
Do they require masks at your workstation?
