This was also early into Rona, so the 99.8% recovery rate wasn't so well known and the treatment was go home unless you are bad enough to be on a vent. It was unfortunate that she lacked common sense, but fear was driving that day.
I thought there was a story last year about someone who was wearing a mask while driving a very long distance and they blacked out behind the wheel.
