Look at early-childhood education, the majority of (mostly female) people going into that specialty were the ones who barely did any work when they were in school and were more focused on their image and what event their sorority was doing.

The college I attend was, among other things, know for a large number of teacher/education majors. The early childhood ones were some of the dumbest people I met.

No, the TV in your room doesn't work because a bad snow storm knocked out power to the campus. But, but the common bathrooms and soem hallway lights work and the WiFi still works and the main dining building is open. Hear that strange humming sound all over campus? That is your friend nat gas or diesel providing fuel for several dozen generators so you can see at night, eat and get on BookFace or Twatter, etc.

Also, I noticed that the same teachers who are refusing to go back to work “for their health” seemed to have no problem having get-togethers and drinking with friends or going out to bars (if they were open) during the “pandemic”.

On the local open forum for my town we have a few teachers with some "Not Until It's safe" FB Profile pic. Someone looked on their profile and found most of them posed pictures of them at the beach, dining out with friends all mask-less over the summer. Once school started it was all pics of them mask wearing, stay home you peasant so I can go back to teaching. A collage of the summer vs. fall pics was created and posted. They screeched about "hOw dArE yOU stAlK mE!" and rants about how mean people are and how much I care about kids, I just don't wan to die!

There was a girl I knew - she was a friend of one of my very left wing friends. University student - she was studying psychology I think. Typical smug left wing type - I had to explain to her where electricity comes from once. She thought it came out the ground and was complaining about having to pay for it. Yeah love - there is a vast and complex infrastructure to generate and transmit it to your home - nothing is "free".
