I don’t have studies because no one wants to fund studies on Chinese medicine. There’s no $$ in it. I’m just going by what I’ve been taught, and what I’ve experienced as a patient and as a provider. My grandmother is 89 and an MD trained back in Russia- they used cupping for the flu and such also, she thinks it’s Russian medicine, not Chinese. Her son has asthma and she used it all his life.

I’m also just a lover of natural medicine, however, so I’ll admit my bias. I’m also a believer in “if there’s no risks or side effects, why not try it?” Worst thing that happens is you get a minimum placebo effect. Best that happens and it works and you don’t have the probable side effects of pills.

As far a chiropractors, before I had a breast reduction they were a lifesaver for me. “Subluxations” as an idea are obviously BS, but adjustments and muscle work can do wonders. You just have to find the 50% of chiropractors who are evidenced based instead of... whatever the other half is. The profession is split right down the middle much like our country. The two sides detest each other.
