So I read that this was something that southern politicians had considered before the civil war, I don't know much more about the history of it but if you think in a modern context, leftist governments have fucked up big parts of Mexico and venezuela, also Cuba and some other islands. An. Independent south could go clean up these messes militarily (which would also weaken the deep state) and then have some relationship where they extract wealth in exchange for military protection or something like this (I'm not advocating to just take away their sovereignty completely). Basically it's my opinion that the whole geopolitical situation is screwed up now in the Americas because of china and the deep state and I think people should think outside the box a bit, I don't mean this in an offensive way toward Latin America i just have first-hand experience with the shitty governments there.

Maybe, but if the south seceded you would probably get the large parts of the Midwest as well. You'd "probably" also get conservative parts of liberals states such as Illinois outside of Chicago.
All it takes is one serious state to start the process and others will follow.
China won't be a problem for a decade, more than likely... as they will concentrate first on expansion in their region of the world. They will need to deal with Russia as well. After thats all said and done, they will have to build a navy capable of projecting power in the US.... which they currently don't have.
