So we know the Chicago Mafia helped JFK win Illinois and therefore beat Nixon in 1960. This is established fact.
There is a credible theory that it was the Chicago and Mafia and the CIA who plotted to kill JFK in 1963.
**What specific action did JFK take in the interim to motivate the Mafia to turn on him? **
I can think of several possible answers, but haven't researched JFK as deeply as many on here and I'd love to hear your well-reasoned opinions.
There was a documentary I watched once that was pretty convincing that Oswald certainly shot Kennedy, but that an agent in the secret service car behind Kennedy accidentally shot the president when it lurched forward to a higher speed.
Why would they cover up a story like that? That's a perfectly reasonable explanation that could have been shared with the public and prevented 60 years of questions. Those questions have led us to learn an awful lot of truths in the past few years.
It would have been a tragic mistake by the DS, and they don't usually make mistakes that bad.
I wish I could remember the name of the documentary. The case seemed air tight, had me convinced at least. They didn't pull this second gunman on the grassy knoll crap or magic bullets. The reasoning was sound.
Fair enough. Please post if you recall the documentary. This stuff is important.

I couldn't find it because Youtube memory holed it. That's the documentary though. It is long so buckle up.
