Seems considerably quieter here these days. I assume a lot of people made new accounts after the move. I know I dipped out for a minute when things got fucky wondering if the site had been hijacked. This place was an absolute mad house for a minute. Seems like a lot of the noise got weeded out.

Agreed. I for one vowed I would take a break from politics after the inauguration. I'm sure a lot of folks did, and they should, god knows it's been a frustrating shitshow. But I keep coming back! Where else on the interwebs am i gonna go?
We had to tune out here. It was getting to the point where it was just overwhelming. I'm with you though. I don't even bother with other sources for news and haven't for quite some time. A month ago it was just non-stop refreshing on here bc the information would change constantly 24 hrs a day.
A lot of times I really think we need to start a grassroots, organic, person-to-person movement. Not that we shouldn't use the interwebs, but I don't think the interwebs is where it's gonna happen.
Its a little frustrating when we all basically feel like orphans. But yeah I agree. Some big changes need to happen. It'll have to happen at the local level. We can't rely on federal elections so it's going to just have to be a matter of getting people to see the light. Good thing is, that seems to be gradually happening within pockets. Hard to know where to go from here.
Agreed. Hard to know, but important to also recognize we DON'T know. Revolutions are always unexpected, and unfold in unexpected ways. Keep the faith and hold the line! We are not going to go out like this.
