The amount of black people in England for an overwhelming majority of its history was basically zero. It’s disturbing how they’re trying to co-opt and re-write European history. And i don’t care if it’s fiction - if this happened with a story set anywhere else people would be in uproar
Yep. If they did the reverse, the other side would be in an uproar. But somehow it's ok for Blacks and Hispanics to play whites and Asians.
A twisted version of Downton Abby + Gossip Girl that devolved into a really bad soft core porno.
I kind of enjoyed it in a mindless sort of way. Ironically the only part that stuck out like a sore thumb and should have been left on the cutting room floor was the explanation of how the King married the Queen to solve racism. THAT was just dumb writing because after that I saw every black character as a diversity hire.
It was ridiculous.

The show was highly diverting but you do need to suspend belief in order to enjoy it.
