Doesn't really change anything except they are going to go full throttle now. Say what you want about Bezos, but he did have a small amount of common business sense. This guy I just can't see it, and I can see him going to the absolute extremes with a smile while speeding off a cliff.
Like Steve Ballmer at MSFT and Tim Cook at AAPL, once they take over from the founders, they’ll likely have a few brief years of record growth as the company is eroding. I don’t like any of these people politically and Id assume morally as well. It’ll be interesting to see what happens after the growth has peaked and hopefully the company dies a quick but painful death, and I say that as someone who’s used Amazon for years long before I knew how evil of an organization it truly is.
I just say get the items from the companies that you need. I have been looking at Paracords lately for 1000 ft spools and Rope & Cord seems to be okay as far as I can find.
Trying to get 10,000 feet of Military Grade 550 Type 3 Paracord. I need hobbies and there is whole bunch of new stuff I been finding to help keep me occupied. Who knew knotting could be fun.(Favorite so far is the Repeating Chain knot so simple yet so, so versatile.)
Over the last year or two I forced myself to start shopping around online instead of just blindly buying every single thing from amazon. I found that in almost every instance I can find the item for (sometimes a lot) cheaper at another store. It used to not be this way, but it is now. They're no longer the "cheap" place to shop.
With all the bullshit amazon has pulled the last few years, I feel so much better spending my money at small online businesses instead.
The main selling point of amazon for me was the 2 day shipping, but they didn't even deliver as advertised on that a lot of the time.
With paracord a small bit of flame will definitely be needed before cutting. Also, 550 tensile strength, and then all the components inside it are capable to be used in a large amount of things. Combine that with Chaining then the options are unreal. Funny thing is that one can use other knots with a long chain-weaved knot so it really just gets ridiculous at that point.
If knives you can make a handle out of the Military grade Type 3 550 Paracord(doing some research on the 850 type 2 right now, but Type 3 is the go to at the moment) so that you have a multi-tool(if knowing how knotting works which does well with bowie type knives or similar).
I would do a simple hitch knot or double hitch knot while looping it around the arms in a figure eight style. Still worth knowing though and may be easier.

Never bothered with Premium if I understand that correctly on the shipping.
It is definitely funny how times changes.
Knotting is fun. My dad taught me knots
My new hobby is knives, just got my first one in and 2nd is on the way
If you never need a bunch of rope cut...
My dad loved knives, too. Smoky Mountain Knifeworks

Here is something to help with the hobby:

Its a forum, but a lot of the comments give great areas to start.
EDIT:
Do take in mind that they are areas to start so that getting to the more advance stuff doesn't feel like trying to discuss blacksmithing with a CNC.
I think you're supposed to use yarn for crocheting
If so then this is men's crocheting as was once said from a ranger(I think though he got it from somewhere off of youtube, but the idea fits).
Learn how to tie prussik cuffs. They may be very useful soon.

It sure is a shame that Microsoft and Apple went out of business after Ballmer and Cook took over..
Oh wait..
You twit. .
