I’ve been increasingly disillusioned with the idea of holding a high standard, as white folks often do, which is why white people get outed for stupid shit. Making matters worse is my fear to publicly come out as a conservative. It’s immensely frustrating that liberals can out themselves as such and receive support and encouragement because in the narrative they’re trying to set, being “woke” is good and being conservative is bad.
