I believe he was trying to expose the pedophilia and corruption in the industry/politics. Did you listen to his last phone call with his agent (or someone that like he was close to).. and he KNEW what was coming for him. All because he was trying to protect the kids.
I think he just never got a chance to be a kid. So he lived some of his adult life as a child. I used to think he was diddling kids but the more I researched, the more I believe they were just “harmless” sleepovers because he felt like he was just as much a kid. Some parents found out about the sleepovers and thought “I could totally make millions in a lawsuit.”
It's hard to know what really happened. Your understanding is right where I'm at, but I still regard it as personal speculation.
We've certainly seen enough real world evidence now about false memories being created and used in testimony. It looks like that happened to General Flynn as well as in that Netflix series "Making a Murderer." So, the MJ documentary from a couple years ago could have been based on false memories or straight up lies. Hard to say.
