Anymore, if I prefer sports played for the sake of the sport I watch local high school football or smaller colleges that aren’t in the big 8 and that crap. They either are playing for a chance too succeed or just for the love of the game.

When a country knows it's hosting the Olympics, it pumps 100s of millions of extra dollars into its athletes in order to give the best showing that it can. In the NFL, teams know years in advance that their city might be hosting the Superbowl, but instead it's just business as usual. The amount of times I've seen teams go "all-in to win it this year" is astounding, but none ever seem to do it to reach the Superbowl in their same city.

And we did that for years, finally purchasing a 7 foot white tree 2 years ago, because the collection had outgrown the smaller tree. The wife didn't even put the tree up this year. She's talking about listing all the ornaments on Ebay. And quite honestly, I don't know who is playing this year.
