The bottom one is the superior naval technology. I mean, look at how many people they're able to fit on that boat. And they even have time to go for a relaxing swim. I'm so glad these people are coming in by the literal boatload to enrich our nations.
Saw a video the other day of a bunch of Africans on a boat in the middle of fuck-knows-where, they crash their boat into the side of some big shipping container and slowly drown 1 by 1 and it was one of the surrealist videos I've seen.
They look like they make exactly zero effort to actually swim or float, they just fall in the water and decide "my life is over" and submerge their heads and drown. Almost looked like the death animation in Gta: Vice city when you fall into water.
Some of them died with life jackets on, or floatation devices literally bobbing into them in the water. I just couldn't get my head around it. Just sad.
Woah link? I read something sad that during the Syrian upheaval when mass numbers of people fleeing created a short supply of life vests, opportunists sold fake life vests filled with sawdust which turned into anchors :/
One can still drown with a life preserver on. You slowly inhale water from each passing wave until your lungs cannot function. Where did you see this video? I'm amazed it wasn't censored and would like to check it out.
I understand that, it was pretty calm water though, like all they had to do was lie back and await rescue but I'm pretty sure a bunch of them just leaned forwards or maybe wore their jackets wrong.
It was on 4chan, I rarely go on there but I clicked a link on here and saw it. Someone was just leaning over the side of the ship recording them on a phone. It was so odd.
Glad someone else saw it too. You're right, it wasn't like other drownings where people climb over each other and pull each other down because they're desperately trying to survive. They all just almost peacefully start sinking and don't really seem to resist it. So strange.

consider that africa is land locked and these dudes probably arent taking swimming lessons at the Y
throw in the fact that african men generally have denser bones and that theyve been at sea for who knows how long...
its a miracle they ever make it and they likely wouldnt without massive help and incentives
