Why are you guys still obsessing over the GOP? GOP is swamp, PERIOD. Are you a glutton for betrayal or something?
I'm sure you loved "Cocaine Mitch" and "Lion Ted." These guys all talk a good game. Gaetz recognizes the power of the MAGA movement - this does not make him a patriot. You give your trust away far too easily.
Maybe he's being genuine. Maybe he's not. I'm sure there are sure a good number of Bernie voters that still think Sanders is a revolutionary - what would you tell them? I'd tell them that they're being played. In fact, I have. Many times.
Don't be like them. Patriot party or bust.

Name one other party member who has offered to resign to gain more popularity with the base. I think Matt is genuine. He has an adopted Cuban son, so the whole “commie takeover” thing probably hits him a little more personally than most.

"Offering" and actually straight up taking action are two different things. By the way, you are talking about him because he offered to resign. Clearly it has created a buzz.
Judge a man by his actions, not his words. A large part of the reason our politicians are also terrible is because very few seem to practice that.
This is the cleverness of what Matt is doing. He is trying to stop MAGA from leaving GOP. He is giving them reason to stay. The GOP is cunning. Very abusive.
