I'm willing to bet the fact that the restaurant is open at all and they are still working means that their employers have been putting their own money into the establishment to keep ungrateful little shits like them employed still. Oh I thought that he was indicating it was too much work because they only had to deal with 25% of the normal amount of customers (plus a handful of outdoor tables), while also getting an additional employee.
