Don’t give them too much credit.
How many freshmen/freshawomen Republican house members are there?
Divide that by the total number of Republican house members for a baseline, then go down from there.
It’s so fucking bad. If there were 4 good congressmen in DC I feel like one of them would have worn a hidden camera and leaked something good by now.
I’ll give the freshmen the benefit of the doubt, but by the time they get re-elected, chances are they are owned by swamp. Or at least under contract.
I want to think Nunes is a good guy. I want to think Jordan is a good guy. Just like I wanted to think Gowdy was a good guy.
The problem is that the bad ones who are the best actors will be the ones who seem like the good ones to us.
If any significant number of them were “good ones” we could have had some actual results by now. Not just televised hearings with soundbite speeches, strongly worded letters, hannity appearances and nothing but excuses for why they can never fix anything.
