I think a lot of us discovered this election that you can't trust anyone, even those (and maybe especially those) who claim to be on your side. Newsmax is just one example. Tucker, Lin Wood, Q, Black Rifle Coffee, Pence, the list goes on.
There were a lot of people who were skeptical of those "things" for lack of a better word, but this community constantly shut them down at every turn. Doomer, glowie, shill, retard, whatever. And it worked. And we were blindsided.
I think we need to be more wary of falling into that trap of mob consensus in the future, but also be aware of just how effective it is. (And on that note, I still like Tucker. He got it wrong about the election and gave in to network pressure and that was shit, but I believe his presence is a net positive. But I digress.)
Which brings me to my next point.
There were people the other day who were saying things like we should all post on the WSB subreddit and say this is exactly what Trump supporters experienced, etc. to get people to see the truth.
That's the wrong play and will only push people away from us more. My evidence of that is exactly how this community reacted when our own community tried to warn us about anyone or anything on that list above and just about anything else that purports to be on our side. Imagine how well it'll work when it's on a site full of literal communists.
This isn't a post about how you should self-censor or any of that bullshit. But thinking about things from a purely strategical standpoint, we need to break out of that mindset if we want to win going forward and bring more people into our fold.
People need to find these things out for themselves. Forcing it on them is only going to trigger their defensive barriers and push them away from us when they otherwise might have wandered our way all on their own without any influence.
Think about what brought you here. Was it because of someone constantly shoving Trump down your throat? It was the exact opposite for me. The media was constantly shoving the leftist narrative down my throat and that made me skeptical. I did my own research and found the truth on my own. I've heard tons of similar stories here from other people who were redpilled at different points in time. We need to let other people do the same, and simply be the MyPillow that catches them when they fall off their high horse.
