Ive seen this over and over in real life.

Some dumb asshole is doing something stupid and smarter people just stand around being polite because they dont want to rock the boat.

Dumb assholes are too stupid to see that they in fact, do not actually know it all. But they only consume CNN HUFFPO REUTERS and get their backs patted constantly.

I've never heard the decline (into communism) referred to as the soft parade. Interesting. More like trail of tears imho.
