I walked into a liquor store without a mask. The guy comes out from the back room and says "you got a mask?" in a demanding way. I say "you want my business, or not?", and he says "yeah..." in a defeated sounding tone. I get some whiskey and say thanks, and that was it.
Small businesses should be ignoring this nonsense, but maybe he watches a little too much TV.
This is the correct response. I do have a little sympathy though. Health depts have been weaponized. All it takes for a store to lose their liquor license is a call from some fucking cunt rag Karen. And they do it. Some bitch sees non-compliance, reports it, small business closed forever. Super based liquor store near me insists on masks. They hate it, but they'd be homeless in two seconds if they get reported.
