I mean, I get it. I was working from home 90% of the time before the coof, and not having to sit in traffic every day is a pretty big upgrade to life. That shit was like 2 hours out of my day! But if my employer said “okay start coming back into the office or no more job” I wouldn’t lose my job over it. I used to sit in traffic listening to podcasts, I could do it again if I had to.
Teachers around here have been back to in-person work since fall; and online went active within a month of the lockdown last spring. Everyone was kind of happy to be back in class.
Of course, we be but simple rural folk around here...not the sophisticates of the Chicago Teacher's Union.
Yeah, I mean this should be unanimous, or at least close to it. Teachers decide not to show up for work, get fired like everyone else.
Many have worked this entire pandemic. If masks work, what is the problem with returning to the classroom?
