Piss off enough states, 35 to be exact, and a constitutional convention will be called. The states will force fixes down the throats of DC.

Article V of the Constitution

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States [currently 34], shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as Part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States [currently 38], or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress ...

Basically, enough states can get together and say go fuck yourself, DC, what you’re doing is now explicitly illegal and any law contrary to these amendments are now void. Of course, everything is on the table so it all depends on what states wanted the convention to begin with...

Convention of states had been considered the only option left until Trump was elected. Now it may be once again.

Hopefully we wake up enough people to this, otherwise they send the Feds to start arresting legislators. Don't think for one second that they aren't crazy enough to try it.

34 state legislatures pass a call for an Article V convention of states. One delegate from each state meet to propose amendments to the constitution. Whatever passes out of it, like term limits, etc, would have to be ratified by 38 state legislatures. No congress. No president. No scotus. Just the states.

Here's a link to an article about it from Freedom Wire. https://freedomwire.com/article-v-convention-of-states/

So like I said, piss off enough states and their legislatures, and they will force their will down the feds throats. I believe 13 states have already passed such a call.

So then it's time to start getting patriots into the state legislatures so that we can start taking back our country.

Yes this is what we need to do.

We gotta get rolling on this somehow while we control more state legislatures.

RealWomenLoveTrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's been rolling. A group called Convention of States has been getting it thru legislatures for years😁

Right on Baby!

And how do we go about it? We don't control 35 states. We control about 20, with 6 more leaning Republican.

Republicans have a majority in at least 30 state legislatures. We won majorities in 2 more just last November. Like I said, the more of them the left pisses off, the more will act.

I'm also talking about the Courts and Governors.

Fortunately, Article V state convention does not require the courts or governor - or the US congress.

You are assuming that a Democrat congress would accept that. And that the convention would not fuck over our 2a and 1a rights

You're a negative. Quitters never win. Winners never quit.

2
Dimensia89 2 points ago +2 / -0

Doesn't work that way. They have to accept it, they won't have any say in the matter. As for the fucking us over part, there are safeguards that would prevent a runaway convention, mainly that any changes require way more than a simple majority vote in order to pass. I am not an expert, but Mark Levin and others are.

You really need to study how the Convention works.

1
RealWomenLoveTrump 1 point ago +1 / -0

The congress has NO SAY in an Article V convention of states. NONE. And I do assume it would not fuck over our rights, for two reasons. First, the states calling for it thus far have set parameters on what is to be addressed. Even if that doesn't contain the amendments proposed at the convention, a majority of state delegates have to vote yes just to get it out of the convention. Half of the states will not vote to get rid of the first or second amendments. Even if they did, 38 state legislatures have to vote to ratify. So now that becomes an impossibility. These are big hurdles because whatever the states ratify BECOMES a constitutional amendment. PERIOD. No branch of the federal government can do jack fuck about it. They just have to live with it.
