Thats just straight up wrong, pretty much everyone agrees that electric cars are better for the environment

No, they don't.

The production process is extremely damaging to the environment, and the power to charge them comes from fossil fuels, usually.

Research mining in the places where they are gathering the rare earth elements and you will see.

It's not the operation of electric cars that causes environmental damage, it is the mining and processing of the rare earth metals used in the batteries, and the manufacturing process that cause the environmental damage.

The use of child and slave labor in the places where the rare earth elements are mined is another reason for us to continue using fossil fuels.

If you bothered to look at what I asked you to you'd see that they take the manufacturing of the batteries into account. They're still better for the environment.

I dont know anything about the child/slave labor issue, if thats true then it should absolutely be fixed immediately.
