With that logic then they will find away around the pardons with a crooked judge. Hasn't stopped them so far. Seriously, I see what you're saying, Pede and agree. Just giving you a different take.

Because McConnell threatened him. It would look like a real poser move if he pardoned himself but didn't pardon his followers. This also gives Trump the free rein to defend himself and his followers in court. Once Trump is found not guilty, gonna be really hard to convict his "army."
