Gab should have been a prime example of what could happen in today's political climate..the fact that the CEO did not account, or have a contingency plan is poor planning

Wait... Gab is still going. Parler got killed by corporate commies

I meant that they should have been aware based on what happened to gab a year ago

I’m shocked they didn’t frankly.

Not to concern troll them but i just can’t understand how any conservative paying attention for the last 4 years would choose to depend on big tech. Like. Whatttt

You're thinking of Parler...?

Gab is the one that has had a plan.

That's what I meant, gab had a plan, parler ceo didn't

Not even just Gab either. Tons of non libtard sites have gone through it not to mention all of the deplatforming of content creators that won't bend the knee to the leftard ideology.

They kicked him out for allowing hate speech, not for that.

bad redundancy, kept company on AWS too long. didn't have backup plan, also plenty of wrong place and time.

Contract with aws which can ghost your entire operation on a whim comes to mind

Literally tens of thousands of businesses do the same thing. This needs to end up in a high profile court ruling otherwise they will shutdown whoever they like on a whim and destroy anyone who opposes them.

That's exactly what will happen. Don't be stupid enough to leave yourself screwed if one contact blows up.

The thing is that tens of thousands of businesses don't openly put their political opinions on social media or offer a shelter for us deplorables, which unfortunately includes "violent extremists"

There is a reason why hybrid cloud architectures exist. These tards didn't get it. Would have been easy to host on multiple hosts if they didn't hire a bunch of durkas in India to build their site.

Gotta wonder if John Matze was controlled opposition or a RINO plant and made these decisions to destroy Parler down the road. Could be why the Board fired him. Can't imagine any company in that sector choosing proprietary AWS functionality. I wouldn't have even used AWS, much less their Bells/Whistles.

Remember when he wanted to litigate his way into forcing Amazon to be nice to him?

That’s when you knew he was either an absolute moron or the whole thing was a honeypot. Or perhaps both.

He had a good case but a disaster of a judge bad luck really

The case was irrelevant. What he needed was a service that could migrate to new hosting.

Regarding the case, AWS can fire a customer for any reason. Read the fine print next time.
