Leftists don't care about results, they only care about optics.

They won't try to convince you, they'll try to silence you. They don't care that their opponents are still around, still having "wrong" opinions; they're just happy that its out of sight.

Its the same impulse that drives virtue signalling. They want to look good and live in a society that looks good, but whether or not said society actually is good is irrelevant.
