Too close to big city for me though (I'm a country bub with horses so I think northern FL would be more for us? won't part with 'em). Think I need to have a look see in FL. Worst case I enjoy some decent weather and good food.

I just know not to let pets or small children get too close to the water’s edge at lakes. As long as you leave them alone they leave you alone. People even kayak through lakes with alligators.
