nobody in america can really be a communist. it's like being a unicornist, or believing "trans women are women." not a single one of those pinko shitholes they come from ever even achieved 'full communism' by their own measure bc it doesn't actually exist. humanity can't function on any level without some kind of market mechanism for exchanging dissimilar goods, and currency is meaningless without at least a minarchist state.
