I appreciate this guys view. However in my woke corporate culture I am told that as an older white msn I am a racist and privileged. Sorry. I busted my ass my whole life. Never got a hand out. Treated all people of all races with equal dignity. Was laid off several times despite being a top performer employee because I was told confidentiality in one instance because I was the easiest to lay-off. No lawsuits expected by white men for unfair discrimination. I never saw color either when I began my so called career but now understand that I was always viewed negatively as a “white man” of privilege without knowing it. I call bullshit. When was the last time my black co workers were required to learn about my Irish background and how my ancestors were discriminated against?
I understand that. We dont need white guilt. We need people who can understand where the root of peoples anger comes from even if it might be misguided. Because only understanding one another can de escalate the tensions this country feels right now.
And I think thats what this guy is trying to do. And the reason it comes off as genuine and not pandering is because he backs his words up with actions. He is actually out there trying to make a difference. Its not like virtue signalling leftists who are.just doing it for validation.
