The GOP seems to be daring us to go 3rd party. Do the GOP have a real strategy here or do they think they can prosper with only 30%-35% of their voter base intact. I can almost hear them in their conference sessions - we'll be so much stronger if we can just get rid of the deplorables. Great strategy. The Faux News strategy. No democrat is ever going to cross-over and make up that missing 65% voting block. GOP would quickly become the 3rd party, not whatever party that is newly formed. All of this is great news for the democrats btw. They win either way (in the short to medium term). Long term, it's hard to tell.
