Race is not the problem. In my opinion everything can be boiled down to cultures (which are not equal). A culture is a set of values to which someone voluntarily subscribes.

A perfect example is traditional American culture vs. Ghetto culture. Whether a person is black or white or otherwise, you can clearly envision the members of either one of these cultures.

Regardless of race or class, a person of traditional American values will be law-abiding, clean and typically respectful. Simultaneously, regardless of race or class, a member of ghetto culture will be crime-admiring, more likely violent and typically disrespectful.

There are excellent and shitty exemplars of every race and gender.
