Kevin O'leary isn't as "based" as people think. Don't get me wrong, he's much better than any leftist out there, but because he's Canadian, he's a fan of some socialism. Nothing insane, but just heed the warning before you simp all over him

I wouldn't call it socialism. Just capitalist funded social services. There is a huge difference and Woke leftists don't even understand this. It is capitalism that funds all the things they love. Switching to socialism would destroy it all.

I might get shit for saying this, but I'll say it anyway. Too much capitalism is too much of a good thing. It's the same principle as democracy—pure democracy doesn't, and will never, work, so that's why we invented republics, which do work and constrain the worst parts of pure democracy. With capitalism, you should never live in a TRUE laissez-faire, pure capitalist economy. It will inevitably trend towards complete monopoly and create powerful figures who will then gain power and work to twist the system in their favor. Government interference in favor of big business will speed up this process, while practices like trust-busting and anti-monopoly laws keep big business in check. We should always strive to have as free a market as possible while still restricting the worst elements of pure capitalism.

Spez: Also as a clarifying statement, even capitalism at its worst is still better than socialism at its best, and our modern capitalist system has brought more people out of poverty than any other system in the history of the world.
