I wouldn't the area is known for military coups and dictatorship. Myanmar used to be under one for decades until recently and seems like they going back to it. Thailand is still in one after their military coup in 2014/16, Laos is full Chinese puppet, Cambodia is broke as fuck and Vietnam is about to get into a hot war with China.
