if they value reelection, they'll pass it. There are some voters on their side who realize it's a bad idea but most just want a bigger number in their paychecks and screw the reality of it
They've already talked about passing things through reconciliation which for some reason only takes simple majority. We're going to need a lot of filibusters these next years.
People like "free" shit without thought of the consequences. Democrats need to be re-elected. People will remember how they didn't vote to give them "free" shit. Democrats will vote for it because they don't want to get primaried for not voting for "free" shit.
Why wouldn't the small businesses raise their prices too?
