Is there any sauce for these numbers? Would help with redpilling my mom and wife who talk about overflowing hospitals all the time.

why do hospitals get paid when people die? isn't it their job to prevent that, not add incentive? also why wouldnt the money go to the family?

There better be a fucking good reason i'm missing here.

Yeah I would like to know too. Who is paying them? The govt? So us with our tax money? Genuinely curious here.

I've heard a lot of people saying this, but I'm a nurse, and I've never been offered that. I was offered to work the COVID unit for $5 less than I make since I get $5 as a specially bonus.

Kaiser is paying bank for nurses to work on the covid floors.

Yea, depends on the hospital, mine offers some kind of COVID bonus, but it's for people who don't already work there. I can't complain, I make a lot more money than I expected to growing up.

I had a nurse tell me that she was considering resigning and signing up for a company that would place her elsewhere for about triple what she was making. I was hospitalized at the time, so I have no idea whether she decided to go that route.

Constant mask wearing can cause: contact dermatitis, bacterial (staph) skin infections, bronchitis, bacterial pneumonia, fungal pneumonia, mouth sores, sinus infections, throat infections, dizziness, hypoxia, fainting, respiratory arrest for COPD compromised individuals, halitosis, and other applicable maladies that goes with mask wearing. You have been warned, God gave most of us common sense to discern truth from lies. Too many believe the media as if it is the word from God, but the media is 180 degrees from God. The media is working for Satan, walk away before Satan owns your soul. If you have a hard time with this statement then maybe you should go to a solitary spot and have a nice long conversation with our Lord God Jesus Christ. In the mean time I will continue to pray for the veil of ignorance to be lifted from the poor fools that still wear the masks. God bless those that believe and fight to save us from the evil takeover of our country and God bless the ignorant to be able to see the truth and the light.

In Sane World, hospitals would get paid for each recovery, not each death.

They get even MORE money off you’re put on a ventilator. Let that marinate a bit in your mind...

See the Cares Act. Lots of money flowing to covid schemes. Everything is covid, and there's a reason for that.....

COVID-19 High-Impact Allocation: HHS is distributing $10 billion to 395 hospitals who provided inpatient care for 100 or more COVID-19 patients through April 10, 2020, and will distribute an additional $2 billion to these hospitals based on their Medicare and Medicaid disproportionate share and uncompensated care payments.

Hospitals are private businesses.

I do believe this but would like to see some sauce. Do these numbers cover what hospitals normally made per-Kung-flu?

Um, why are we giving bonuses to hospitals when people die???? Maybe a bonus for saving people instead?

And yet my hospital never once gave us "hazard pay" despite being the department that was decided to be the covid unit. At the start no masks. Then masks. HCQ, then no HCQ, then Hcq again recently. Guess what I've been exposed dozens of times and I'm fine. Zero flu cases so far. But everyone has a cough so they must have covid. $$$. The ceo makes bank while we get reduced benefits this year because of the "covid impact". I love oregon scenery. But fuck portland. /rant off
