Why is this secret voting shit a thing? Why are they allowed to just hide how they voted on things? That's the opposite of transparency. Fuck Liz Cheney.

Just like how when we vote we can’t trace back to our vote. Block chain at least would prevent tampering or would be obvious if it was altered.

What a joke

What's Block Chain.

My best understanding and way to state it in layman's terms, is if you look at this site and envision it as Block Chain:

You have your site: Patriots.Win, this would be your genesis block

User TickleTh1sElmo posts Secret Voting blahblahblah, this would be a block tied to Patriots.Win

CindiPede adds to Tickle's block with a block/post of their own

Johnfox13 adds to Tickle's block with a block/post of their own

NotAPuma adds to Johnfox13's block with his block/post

I add to NotAPuma's addition to Johnfox13 with my block/post

Of course it's a bit more complex than that, but using the same metaphor, all these blocks end up being encrypted and rely on the parent block.

Tickle uses Patriots hash and creates their own hash, you use Tickle's hash to further encrypt and so on. If you deleted your post right now, everyone would be like "what the fuck is this wall of text that this Semmelweis guy is rambling about" and they'd see "NotAPuma deleted his comment" before me and assume you altered the chain.

There's also a difference that blockchain is decentralized, so while I refer to Patriots.win as the genesis block, it is not essentially so as it is a single server that hosts every block, instead in the blockchain each individual would have their own Patriots.Win with their blocks in it (which is essentially what your account is, but you don't host the account, Patriots.Win does).

Its as a public ledger. You sign your transactions (vote, transfer of bitcoin, etc) with a private key, and anyone else can see the results and validate transactions written. Who signed with the private key can be anonymous.
