My Canadian acting Union called ACTRA. They became my adversaries. I had to hire a lawyer to fight my own Union for breaking it's own rules. They are liars & hypocrites. They couldn't care less if an Actress got raped. As long as those dues keep on coming in, nothing else matters. The hidden contempt they have for all the little people is disgusting to say the least.
Our insurance was nerfed this year too. I hate dealing with the union reps. Useless.
I'm sorry that happened to you. I've never relied on them for anything. I get my own work. They were cold and calculating nasty little snakes. They knew I was fucked over but let it happen and then blocked me from learning the details. The irony was it was on the set of Death Wish.
