I saw our county sheriff perjure himself on the stand. The defense attorney nailed him. The judge acknowledged that the sheriff lied, but refused to penalize the perjurer.
Except for the sherrifs that go around pad locking businesses that disobey the governors orders. They're politicians first and protectors of civil liberties second.
In my Flyover State small-town, the whole police/sheriff/media/local govt. situation is crooked as a dog's hind leg. Obsessed with "civil asset forfeiture" and other police-state-style "revenue streams." Deeply-closeted upper-crust from all the aforementioned entities + other wealthy locals preying on young boys for "eyes wide shut" parties (that aren't as secret as they think.)
There are many reasons I have a dim view of police and other local-government scumbags, those are just a few.
It's a hard position to take for Trump. Call out cops and you will lose all their support. Support cops and you will end up endorsing bad cops who does these unconstitutional edicts.
Yeah, I have really come around on the whole Defund the Police thing. It would solve a lot of problems actually. All those Leftist pussies supporting BLM, reparations, but relying on the police to keep them safe from the consequences of that thinking.
Take the police out of the situation, me and my people band together to defend our neighborhoods with guns and do the "policing" ourselves, and all those liberal cucks get served up as the reparations they support till they are all gone... Natural Selection. Then we bring back the police formally after they are all cleaned out.
I was on the fence, having had many more bad experiences with police than positive. I'm not anymore (although I do side with them over violent criminals/arrest-resistors, on those occasions they actually do something for public safety vs. hassle/intimidate/threaten peaceful citizens having a normal day.)
I pledge allegiance to my pension of my local police union, and to the tyranny for which it stands, one nation, with no god, divisible by money, with liberty and justice for none.
