Source Video 1

Source Video 2

2:06 Why is Igor Bobic from Huffington post standing there with seemingly no regard for the fact that a single officer stands between him and the mob? Is he the bravest of all journalists that ever lived? Or does he know something we don't?

2:14 Goodman enters an extremely vulnerable pose as he reaches down for the baton, risking being rushed by the angry mob just a few feet away. We don't see him drop the baton, it's just there on the ground. If he did drop it on his approach to the doorway, why not secure it immediately? It's literally one of only a few non-lethal tools Goodman has in his arsenal, and we are supposed to believe he would not secure it before advancing towards the mob?

2:19 Goodman has secured the baton. At this point it's clear he has made up his mind that retreating is the best option. Instead of turning around and running up the stairs at full speed, he does a nice little hop up the stairs with the lead rioter right on his tail as he stops on the landing. We know from the end of the second video that there are several officers just up the stairs, easily within ear shot of all this commotion. Goodman appears to be radioing his position. Why do we not see even a single officer make their way down the stairs to back him up?

2:32 Another nice little hop and a skip up the stairs. Not fully committing to running away, and also not fully committing to standing his ground. Keep in mind at this point in the altercation there has been ZERO physical force used against Goodman, and the mob only advances when he retreats.

2:41 This half-assed push. Really? Doug Jensen is ostensibly a man so radicalized and dispossessed with the election that he has invaded the capitol building to attempt to stop the electoral votes from being certified. Almost certainly, violence would have had to be used to achieve this goal. Yet he has not once showed any outward signs of aggression other than his continued "advance" toward Goodman. When hands are laid on him he turns into a wet noodle and slumps against the wall. Are we really supposed to believe this man is acting out of a desperate passion to save his country?

3:27 From the second video: Goodman finally enters the room where there are 3 additional officers conveniently waiting idly by. Not to mention, in their vanguard and leading the charge, is yet another camera man, with seemingly no regard for his own safety. All of the officers assume what I can only describe as an extremely relaxed stance. Hands on hips or down at their sides. Again, the whole time surrounded by cameras and media personnel.

When I watch this footage, it strikes me as the most inorganic altercation between a violent mob and law enforcement I have ever seen. It seems like there is a mutual understanding between Goodman and the mob that no one is actually going to be harmed. The media were quick to hail him as a genius that used tactics and wit to outsmart the angry MAGA rioters. That is not what I see. I see more lies and deceit. I see an orchestrated attempt to strike fear into the hearts of Americans.
