Tbh I work a job that involves reciting the pledge every day, and I haven’t been able to bring myself to recite it since January 20th. It’s hard for me to believe in those words anymore when it’s clear we no longer live in a country with liberty or justice.
Fortunately, Texas also has its own pledge that we also recite every day and I can happily recite those words and know that they still mean something.
Honor the Texas flag.
I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas.
One state, under God.
One and indivisible 🇨🇱
