He did. The last several times I went to fightback.law to donate, there wasn't a dropdown to select Kyle, despite the description saying otherwise. The team has also somehow blown through a lot of money, and made statements like "there's no rush."
I had never heard of Lin Wood until the Rittenhouse situation.
100%
Barnes is not only excellent in these types of cases, but he also despises the system and knows to expect the dirties tricks.
I want to point out that he (and David / "Viva") have a good relation with Dershowitz, who might also become involved (or advise).
The kid is finally in good hands!
As much as I hate to say it, Robert Barnes was warning about Lin Wood going off the deep-end since the Rittenhouse situation (or perhaps even earlier). I STRONGLY doubted Robert Barnes' statements at first, but decided I'd sit back and wait to see how things play out.
There are a LOT of things I didn't want Barnes to be right about, which he's turned out to be dead-on precise about. And sure enough, Lin Wood has gone off the fucking rails, engaging in all kinds of attention seeking and erratic behavior, and promoting obvious nonsense.
Rittenhouse's team has blown through money at an absurd rate. I also happened to notice on the FightBack.law website that it was difficult to indicate you wanted money going to Kyle himself. There's supposed to be a dropdown somewhere to select Kyle, that never shows up. I'm not sure if that's still the case, but I've been holding back about $250 to send to Kyle, once I know it'll end up in the right place.
There's also some public behavior which I don't think will help Kyle. He needs to keep his head down a bit until this all blows over. Lets be clear, Kyle is innocent, and it shouldn't matter if he was legally represented by a potato, and openly proclaimed loyalty to white supremacy ... he'd still be innocent. However, his legal team should be advocating he keep his head down, and how anything and everything will be used against him. There's time to be more of a celebrity once this is all over. Being reprsented by someone who's practically running around screaming all the time ,doesn't help Kyle.
Some might say "But Lin Wood is helping Kyle!" Honestly, it's kinda been the other way around. I knew about Nick Sandman, but not Lin Wood until the Rittenhouse situation. There were also many attorneys who publicly offered to represent Kyle pro-bono.
To use an analogy, I'd rather someone sit me down and tell me I was heading to dissaster, than stand aside as they let me walk right into it. There's a massive difference between what makes me feel good, what I want to be true, and what actually is true.
Truth helps us make wise decisions. Truth helps us win. Lies might make us feel good, but pour millions of dollars down the drain.
If you've ever run a business, had a startup go under, or anything remotely similar, you might understand how VALUABLE truth can be, even when it's not something you want to hear. I wrote an app years ago, and when I finally sold it, I probably only ended up recouping the electricity costs used in making the app. Someone sitting me down and telling me how, while the app was something people would use, was not something people would pay for, might have saved me a LOT of time and money from going down the drain.
Great points, but I bet you learned a lot making the app (including better market forecasting). Much in life is a gamble so it's great to know rough odds but if you don't take any chances....
I did learn a lot. I'm actually onto a new business venture, and hoping I'm not repeating the same mistakes as the last attempt. It's a free-speech project would undermine big-tech if successful, but the real reason I'm pursuing it is because I had what I believe is a damn good idea. Some of the best business ideas are very opportunistic.
yeah. i saw that. he was not happy with wood being picked. said he was in it for the money and fame and had no idea what he was doing. that segment stuck with me and i played it back in my mind when wood was making noise after the election.
I was not a fan of what he said at the time, but hasn't he turned out to be right? Kyle's team has blown through a LOT of money, and they've done very little for him so far. Lin Wood has also gone off the fucking rails.
Considering the amount of money Lin got from promoting fighting for Kyle and then apparently not having enough to bail Kyle out, then yeah fuck Lin. I remember those Viva/Barnes streams and that stuck with me too
Looks like Robert finally got his revenge on Lin for cutting him out of the Sandmann case. Maybe they’ll finally put this to bed now. Lawyer feuds are always so petty.
Maybe if he stops pushing it misinformation, behaving like a twitter celebrity, and saying stupid shit like "hang Mike Pence." I'll stop shitting on him. He makes MAGA look like a bunch of lunatics.
Is that a tactful way of saying goodbye Lin?
Hopefully.
If Lin Wood used this kid for his own benefit I'm going to be very upset with him.

He did. That's what he does.
That was my take away.
This is the best thing to happen for Kyle.

Thank you Robert Barnes!
This is BIG.

Barnes is the man!
He really is - the guy is brilliant, encyclopedic knowledge of law, outspoken, and anti-leftist/authoritarian.
This is very good news for Kyle.
Mr. Barnes should be put up for a SCOTUS pick imo he actually likes the constitution. I know it's strange nowadays
I watched Barnes on Viva Frei months ago, and even back then he was taking a giant shit on Kyle's legal team.
In hindsight, I think he was right to do so.

About fucking time. Now, Get Trump to hire him too, and watch this shit end. Everybody needs a team of people they can trust.

Yeah but we wanna shit on lin at every possible turn. You new?

There are those of us on this site who said for months that Lin Wood and John Pierce were bad counsel.
Did they find Kyle? I saw something yesterday about him missing.
Yes - "Kyle Rittenhouse in 'safe house' after prosecutors try to rearrest him"

My god our DA in Kenosha is a fucking corrupt piece of shit.
Sounds like Kyle's cutting ties with the deranged, Qtarded nut job Lin Wood and associates. Barnes has warned people about Wood for awhile now.
