"Weird worship of one dude"

Not a good look. This statement reads incredibly out of touch to me. I thought this guy was just a Romney-esque boob (and he probably still is), but this and other statements show he is actually kind of delusional and/or just bad at politics.

I mean if these are his genuine thoughts on the situation why not attempt to bridge the gap at all? Basically he's throwing salt on the wounds that he created. Very dumb politically if this guy wants any future within the party.
