The current ruling party of Korea (Moon) is literally Democrats. The previous ruling party was a conservative, but the mainstream media (now mostly left-wing, like in the US) incited anger towards the president for a cruise ship accident in which about 300 high school students died. It is similar to the US media's having blamed Trump for COVID deaths. The media said how she did not send rescue teams properly, which makes no sense to me, because I don't think it is a job of the president. With that anger, they only needed some excuse to impeach the president, like taking bribes from Samsung. All Korean presidents took some form of bribes, I think. The previous president from the Democrats committed a suicide right after his term ended because he was alleged to have received bribes.
