My first thought -- If your kid could merely fix small engines in their spare time, they could make a TON of money -- no one seems to be doing that. Mowers, blowers, weeders, etc. Every time my breaks, I have to buy a NEW ONE, because virtually ALL small engines are made in chynah. Got pickup & delivery? I'll pay for that! Just 50cents a mile is very affordable and still profitable.
I have an 18 year old. We've been talking about it for a few years. College is harmful at this point. Go to a trade school, start your own thing, but don't just "go to college."
So, a list of colleges you want to avoid?
I'm encouraging my kid to learn a trade
