I've literally been hearing that for the past few decades. I heard in that Ross Perot was the last hope for our Republic, twice. I heard that Ron Paul was the last hope for our Republic, twice.
Trump is one man. If you think that him being gone leads to the death of our Republic, then you're wrong.
I think the republic isn’t dead, but it has degenerated and it continues to degenerate. It will reach a point wherein no one is maintaining it. The problems need to keep adding up, Trump was a stop-gap, but we got too comfortable under him. He bought us 4 years. The disaster continues on.
Ross Perot wasn't elected president. Ross Perot didn't take over the republican party. Trump infiltrated the uniparty even after they cheated in 2016. An outsider will never get in again.
An outsider will never get in again if so many MAGA types continue this kind of attitude, the "do nothing but doom" one.
America has survived through a lot, and we need to be pragmatic: Biden isn't going to kill America. He won't get anything done for 4 years due to the divisions in his own party.
Biden being president hurts the Democrats, as is being shown by the amount of buyer's remorse we're seeing right now.
Either we take this opportunity to rebuild stronger for 2022 and 2024, or we just shrivel up and complain about it.
An outsider will never get in again as long as there is no reform in the voting process. We fought for voter Id and thought the GOP was on our side. Turns out voter fraud is helping them too, because they're all the same party. So until our voting process is reformed, which has to begin on the local level, you can forget about 22 and 24. Being pragmatic is not a black pill. It is reality.
Republican State Legislatures are actively working on legislation to clean up and reform their elections to make them safer, Rand Paul himself is working to make this happen. You need to call your Legislators and help with this as well.
The states in question are Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and New Hampshire: These have Republican State Legislatures.
