Teachers make shit money. (Avg for my area is $45k).
Average class size is ~22 kids.
There are 180 school days in a year (required by state).
Average day is 7 hours.
$45,000 ÷ 180 days = $250 per day.
$250 ÷ 7 hours = $31.74 per hour.
$31.74 ÷ 22 students = $1.62 an hour per student.
~$11.34 a day per student.
Average cost of private school is $14,291 a year per student. (my state).
~$79.39 a day per student or ~$11.34 an hour per student.
Bump it to ~$22.72 a day per student and give it directly to the teacher.
That’s $90k a year, double the normal salary, nearly 3.5 times cheaper than private school, and an incredibly attractive teaching gig.
You and 21 other parents could literally hire and cherry pick any teacher you want.
Laws per state will vary but my state, Va, literally has little to no requirements on creating your own private school besides the number of days really.
Mine are grown and on their own, but good on ya. Please teach them basic economics, saving and investing and so on. I am amazed at people that have no idea what a mortgage is, or never think about preparing for retirement ... this is all basic shit we used to be prepared with... educate them, pedes!
