That’s why it’s not enough for karen to obey the daddy/hubby state/doctor/expert, she cannot tolerate a world where the certainty of their truth is in doubt, that’s why YOU that has nothing to do with her ... must never doubt the comfortable conceptual certainties she has trapped herself within.
She knows politicians are crooked ... but life where she must contend with the risks of making decisions in the uncertain fields of reproduction, education and security ... it’s so unthinkable, because of her weakness ... that she willingly submits to a tyrant ... with the caveat that she must make you submit as well ...

Perhaps ... but why do they insist in your compliance? Why it’s not enough for them to submit? That they become wiling enforcers

Crazy neurotic people think if they only they can control everything and everyone around them fairyland will arrive and all will be well with the world!! But NOTHING ever makes them feel better because their crazy neurosis comes from within. That’s why we’re still seeing insanity and unhappiness from the very people who have pulled this f’ing sham off!
Not really, Joseph Campbell pointed out that neurosis it’s a disease of secular modernity, sadly we the “enlightened” have rejected our mythical place in the universe and our rituals that affirmed it.
Consequentially we exist in a world without destiny ... something that our religious ancestors had in droves.
The neurotic is a person that has no village, no role, no borders, no fate and no faith ... it’s appropriate to be frightened when you are that aimless and alone, that any semblance of order means the universe to you.
Misery loves company.
Perhaps they fear competition and want equal outcome over equal opportunity
