I bank with a credit union in my town
It’s not hard. I’ve changed banks numerous times. “But muh autopay, I’ll have to change that and my direct deposit.” It takes less than an hour or two. Give me a break
Edit: and you close the account once your paycheck starts showing up in the new account, not before
If someone had said that happened, and then asked you to guess which bank did it, would anyone have NOT guessed BOA? At least in their top 3 anyway. I bet 50% or more would have gotten it on their first guess.
That brings up a question, are there any banks that you would think would definitely push back against this type of inquiry? The only one I can think of is:
