Bullet_Tooth_Tony 22 points ago +24 / -2

I don't see how they have a choice with gun control, other than to deal with what they currently have. They will never be able to hire the man power to go and confiscate over 50% of the worlds privately owned firearms. Not many people will volunteer to go door to door to grab guns even with a big paycheck. Talk about being completely unsure if you are going to be driving home after a day of "work."

JimmyJam 24 points ago +24 / -0

you don't get it - you make it impossible to buy new guns, then you make it a felony to transfer existing guns. You give amnesty only for those who execute the estate of a deceased person and turn in the guns. You drive gun ownership into the shadows and you make it so future generations are removed from a culture of self reliance and self defense, then you make it so any risk adverse person turns in their daddy's guns after he dies. Rinse and repeat and you have a multi-generational plan for complete gun control. And each step along the way was not dramatic enough that anyone would risk their jobs or their livelihoods to defend their constitutional rights.

15
FarangHamYai 15 points ago +15 / -0

I don't think you are giving them enough credit. The world Id essentially living under a giant police state rn. They will not boil the frog that slowly considering how fast everyone rolled over for the sniffles

I'm expecting some very large and sweeping gun laws to be enacted before 2022

5
Dictator_Bob 5 points ago +5 / -0

This guy gets it. They are not moving in election cycles over this.

2

2
JimmyJam 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not for .50bmg. I have it in my cart right now.

8
Barthaneous 8 points ago +8 / -0

Exactly. Over 100 million people own guns and if only 5 million of them decide to stick with " come and get them" they will spend more money than Afghanistan and more soldiers and police will die trying to take guns away from Americans than what was lost in the last 20 years of war. Not to mention the military and police will have a bunch of deserters

16
trump2036 16 points ago +16 / -0

how many people in the FBI came forward about what they have been doing? The entire org is corrupt and not a single whistleblower.

1

Yeah and the cops would have no way of discerning a “combatant” from a citizen

7
Gadsden 7 points ago +7 / -0

They simply need to stop selling ammunition and restrict black powder.

Gun control done.

2
phlons 2 points ago +2 / -0

you dont take them all day one, you go after a few known "hard cases" using red flag laws, and hope that there is a shootout so that you can show it on the news that gun owners are Crazy anti-law abiding inhumans and use that 'fear" to get people to give up their rights for saftey. if that does not get enough guns out of the hands, you go after the children Evil has learned you down go after all the "jews" all at once, you do it slowly, convince the "jews" that they should give them selves up to stay safe.

Amnesty is coming. DHS is fully prepping for it, and acting as though it's a done deal. Senior officials know something we don't.

4
Taupkek 4 points ago +4 / -0

It will be incremental. First is registration. Then insurance "you have it for your car, you need it for your gun!!" Then a freeze on new sales "while we assess the situation". Sound familiar? Then a buyback. Then semi-auto "assault weapons" and pistols. Then a $5000 license on hunting weapons. Then the same for a home protection pistol. By then its down to less than 500K and they just swoop in and seize them state by state, Texas last on the list. All done by the end of Harris' second term. BTW, if Biden can make it to July of 2023 she can serve out the rest of his term AND two of her own! Fun times ahead, boys and girls!

35
KidSnifferBiden 35 points ago +35 / -0

It really did. This is what it was all about.

The lockdowns that destroyed Trumps economy were going to kill their own cities without this bailout.

They need this bailout.

The virus was meant to destroy the economy, and force mail in voting.

This is how they plan on getting out debt.

With more of our money of course.

17
Craqers 17 points ago +17 / -0

9
Libertas_Vel_Mors 9 points ago +9 / -0

...this won't be all. They'll need to brib- err, bail out the shitload of people who will face eviction after not paying rent/mortgage for over a year (most states lift their moratoriums come July.)

13
KidSnifferBiden 13 points ago +13 / -0

They created a commercial real estate crisis for themselves that hasn't even fully emerged yet also.

You think a bunch of people who have been working remote for the past year are going to come back to a 1-2 hour unpaid commute to sit in an office?

You think their bosses are excited to pay those huge leases?

Commercial real estate is about to shit the bed in a big way, and downtown city centers will follow closely behind.

10
Libertas_Vel_Mors 10 points ago +10 / -0

Oh hell yeah it's gonna blow up.

I'm waiting for the city of Portland to realize to their horror that what little business office space remained downtown is gonna bail, big-time. Why lease high-priced real estate in an area where Antifa thugs will beat up your employees for any reason, and the entrances all reek of homeless urine?

When the businesses go, the foodie scene goes with it, leaving just the bars, strip clubs, and homeless shelters. It'll be like Detroit, except for the added smells of Nag Champa and low-grade ganja.

I'm sure that nearby Hillsboro will remain fine - the Intel chip fabs can't be worked remotely for the most part (even the R&D people still need labs with pricey gear, so...) Similarly with Beaverton, Gresham, etc. for similar reasons (plus, everyone lives there already).

2
BigIgloo 2 points ago +2 / -0

They will cheat again, but they had to go all-in this time and it exposed their whole bag of tricks to the world. People will get more involved in the local election scene and start holding precincts and state legislatures feet to the fire. We won't see a lot about it now because folks are burned out on politics now. But watch as the next election approaches. Trump created a massive movement and people won't forget. The outrage will carry over. Frankly, I hope Biden keeps jamming his crap down people's throats because it impacts the left negatively just as much as the right.

This is a good thing. The fastest, surest way to bring about the demise of the Communist Regime is through bankruptcy. Just ask the Soviet Union.

77

It's also the fastest surest way to usher in a communist regime: create poverty so bad that the middle class is willing to accept total government control.

Straight out of the commie playbook.

Russia has always been that way though. They naturally favor authoritarianism.

1
BasedBurckhardt 1 point ago +1 / -0

Russia has always been that way. The Normands who formed the Kievan State and the later Rus Kingdom never distinguished between the kingdom as sovereign territory and the kingdom as private property like in western Europe.

They also spent a couple centuries as a tributary state of the Golden Horde. After the decline of the Mongols, they took over the tribute they were paying them and kept it as a tax.

As a consequence of emulating the Mongols, the Russian state took on features of Eastern despotism and the Czars ran the whole country as a massive private estate.

The Czars created the Russian police state and the Soviets took over and perfected it.

19
TwistedSister 19 points ago +20 / -1

omg, you're kidding, right? The Commies already won...without a fight, and you're worried the Commies will win? Are you sure you're even awake?

5
Zskills 5 points ago +14 / -9

We do not, in fact, live under communism.

We do, however, live under a regime that wants to move our country in that direction. Hyperinflation is one way to accomplish it.

12
TwistedSister 12 points ago +14 / -2

So....putting your political adversaries in jail isn't something Communists do, huh?

-1
Zskills -1 points ago +5 / -6

I am merely pointing out that while the current administration is extremely economically left and demonstrating their willingness to witch hunt the opposition, they have not yet succeeded in implementing complete top-down control of private enterprise.

Communism has characteristics that you are describing, but it is also an economic system. What you are talking about are side effects that always emerge because it's a failed system that can only exist with absolute compliance.

In other words, authoritarianism is only a side effect. It's necessary to crush dissent.

4
TwistedSister 4 points ago +5 / -1

You only think that because you're lying to yourself:

I am merely pointing out that while the current administration is extremely economically left and demonstrating their willingness to witch hunt the opposition, they have not yet succeeded in implementing complete top-down control of private enterprise.

Power to the people: Bernie calls for federal takeover of electricity production Sanders wants federally owned utilities to build massive amounts of wind and solar to compete with private generators, but critics say that would complicate an already tricky transition to clean energy. https://www.politico.com/news/2020/02/02/bernie-sanders-climate-federal-electricity-production-110117

-By forcing the energy companies to adopt policies where it literally ensures huge natural disasters, the State of California uses those opportunities to seize the means of production. By killing the oil industry off, the government will now step in to ensure that Bernie's dream becomes reality.

They did do it and they're still seizing the means of production. And for other industry, you don't need to seize the means of production; you just need to tax the hell out of it.

2
Zskills 2 points ago +3 / -1

Highly taxed capitalism is not communism or socialism.

And bernie "calling for" things does not mean those things happened.

I never said that the current administration isn't trying to move in that direction. In fact, I said the opposite.

But we aren't there. Far from it.

9
Foletado 9 points ago +9 / -0

By my limited information, the collapse of USSR only succeeded in transferring power to economic oligarchs. --i.e. where we are now.

0
TwistedSister 0 points ago +1 / -1

What would you rather have? An evil empire in total control or a chaotic disparate government that doesn't have full control?

I mean, you're acting as though you believe you even have a choice here.

2
Foletado 2 points ago +2 / -0

Call me a coward, but from what I see put into practice, my courage is still above average. If enough join in that we are likely to succeed, I will put my life on the line. Being killed when it is still likely to fail -- fault me, but i'm not that courageous/reckless.

In any case, we need to increase our ability to coordinate and mobilize. and that is what I am working on especially. Anyone can join in.

1
TwistedSister 1 point ago +2 / -1

I don't understand what you're saying here. Are you saying you'll bravely accept Communist rule over your life?

3
Foletado 3 points ago +3 / -0

We need to get a 'critical mass' of mobilization. Since we don't meet in pubs so much as in the settler's times, but rather on social media, we need to get others off of enemy controlled platforms. That is the only hope I see and it is what I am mainly working on. Otherwise, we shall not be able to adequately coordinate, exchange information, and assemble. If you agree, please join and pull in others.

TwistedSister 0 points ago +1 / -1

4

can you please tell me more.

4
crazyjackel 4 points ago +5 / -1

https://www.google.com/amp/s/finance.yahoo.com/amphtml/news/avoid-paying-taxes-legally-11-002215660.html

Think about your job, write off everything as a work expense. If they take you to court, go to court and hire a good lawyer. Watch them decide it isn’t worth it for your measly income, watch them back out. Counter-sue for legal fees saying the lawsuit was frivolous as what you were doing was totally legal and totally required.

Enough people don’t pay taxes or do these legal measures, IRS can’t catch us all and can’t get the money at all. Many times they won’t engage in suits because they lose more money than they gain.
